DESCRIPTION

1956 AUSTIN HEALEY 100 BN-2 ROADSTER. ORIGINAL COLORS OF HEALEY BLUE WITH NAVY BLUE TRIM AND TOP. 4-SPEED OVERDRIVE, 48-SPOKE WIRE WHEELS. SUPER SOLID, BLACK PLATE L.A./ CALIFORNIA CAR FOR IMPROVEMENT. 52,412 MILES.
 
-The original Austin Healey 100 BN1 sports car of 1953 was quickly improved in 1955-1956 with the introduction of the BN2 model. This car featured larger drum brakes all around for better stopping power, a stronger and more durable rear axle, and most importantly a proper 4-speed gearbox. Only 4600 of these models were produced. 
-Recently purchased from it’s long term Los Angeles owner of at least the past 50 years is this very solid 100 BN2 Roadster. Finished originally in Healey blue with Navy interior and top, this exciting project will make a lovely car when finished. The original Le Mans model (640 factory built) was produced as an upgraded BN2 model, and a lot of owners prefer to upgrade their BN2’s to this performance package during restoration.

-Last registration in 1980. Stored for the past 46 years ! Mileage shows 52,412 miles. Bodywork looks very good but covered with multiple coats of thick cracking paint.
-Undercarriage, main floors, main rails, inner and outer rockers, outriggers, battery supports and cover all look excellent and amazingly super solid on such an older Austin Healey of this vintage !  Small rust spots in trunk floor only.
-Vehicle appears pretty complete minus only the rear bumper. It still retains its pair of original issue California bland and yellow license plates, original VIN plate and body tag. The complete and original engine is currently stuck from sitting but is being soaked with penetrant and may free up. 
-Overall, an excellent opportunity to acquire a super solid California BN2 Roadster in great original colors for straightforward restoration.
