-Freshly completed, seldom available, marque specialist totally restored 1967 Austin Healey 3000 MK3 BJ8 Sports Convertible in the most exciting colors.
-Purchased in 2019 from it’s believed 2nd VA owner from the 1970’s is this very low mileage, final year 3000 MK3. 
-At the time back in 1977, this gently used 10 year old car had only accrued 25,484 miles when it was removed from the road for some minor cosmetic improvements/ rust prevention coating. The owner started some light body panel disassembling of the vehicle at that time, but a career and family kept him busy over the next 52 and the car was stored indoors until we purchased it.
-Upon our purchase, it presented as a well-preserved, accident-free, highly original car with perfect shrouds, body panels, totally original interior and top. 
-Kurt Tanner Restorations has just nearly completed a perfect, nut and bolt, expensive, ground-up restoration to Austin-Healey Club Gold Concours standards and the results are spectacular. Photo documentation accompanies the car from start to finish, and the finest materials have been used.
-Details include a complete stripdown of the car to the bare superstructure, stripping of all body panels to bare metal, then the chassis/body assembly being seam- sealed, epoxy primed, and built back up in perfect metal with factory panel gapping.   
-Show quality basecoat/clearcoat paintwork was then applied over perfect, better-than-factory bodywork. Show-quality, original replated chromework was reinstalled with a new body rubber kit, new windshield glass, door glass, restored door internals. 
-Front and rear suspensions were rebuilt and installed with new bushings, shock absorbers, bearings, seals. The braking system was completely renewed with new steel lines, flexys, calipers, pads, brake discs, cylinders, rear shoes, servo. New stainless wire wheels (5) and tires were fitted with new hubs and knock-offs. 
-The engine was disassembled and completely rebuilt with new rings, bearings, chain and tensioner, oil pump, gaskets, seals, freeze plugs, resurfaced flywheel with new clutch, rebuilt lead-free cylinder head. Transmission and differential was inspected, cleaned, rinsed and resealed. Rebuilt ancillaries including generator, starter, engine mounts, carburetor set, fuel pump and lines, water pump, radiator recored, Texas cooler fan, engine insulation kit, new exhaust system and hanger kits.
-100% new leather interior trim in Matador Red includes front and rear seats, armrest, new John Skinner panel kit, Moss carpet kit, seat foam set, recovered armbars, top pad, console, dash wood set, top wood set, rebuilt heater, blower, ducting, water valve, restored dashboard with guages/switches. Powder coated top frame  assembly. New cotton wiring harness, Armacord trunk kit, knock-off hammer, battery and lines. 
 -Overall, an expensive and exhaustive Gold Concours level restoration BJ8 by a marque specialist, that seldom offers this level of car privately for sale. With the current costs of today’s restoration, surely this freshly restored and mint Austin Healey Grand Tourer cannot be replicated for the price.
