-The Austin-Healey 3000 MK3 BJ-8 Sports Convertible was the final and most popular model of the marque with 1967 being the final year. Ultimate development and upgrade of the car resulted in a 150 bhp engine, improved centershift gearbox, power brakes, quieter exhaust system, revised interior with walnut dashboard, fold down luggage shelf, radio console, armrest, armbars, and the roll-up windows and easy folding convertible top carried over from the previous year model.

-A total, documented, ground-up restoration was carried out by a specialist British shop, English Car Services of British Columbia, Canada over a 4 year period with perfect results. Included documentation is provided in both computer disc and paperwork receipt form with the bill totaling over $95,000, not including the cost of the donor car. 

-Details include the car being stripped down completely to it’s bare superstructure and then built back up from scratch with all items, removed, rebuilt/refurbished/replaced. This exhausting process included bare metal, show quality paintwork with perfect panel straightness and gapping, renewed chromework, new glass, body rubber kit, full mechanical systems rebuilt, fuel and exhaust system, suspension/shocks, wiring harness, replated hardware, 100% renewed interior including Ambla front and rear seat kits, top, top boot, dashboard wood, upgraded Motolita wood steering wheel, carpet kit, panel kit, door seals, color coded seat belts, interior hardware, new stainless wire wheels and Vredestien Sprint Classic radial tire set (5), etc.

-With a six-figure cost to perform a nut and bolt restoration on any Big Healey in today’s restoration world, surely this car represents very good value.
