-The MK3 BJ-8 was the final variation and most developed model of the Big Healeys offering 150 bhp, powerful boosted brakes, softer trailing-arm rear suspension, a quieter exhaust system. Interior refinements include a walnut dashboard facia, armbars, armrest, radio console, fold down rear luggage shelf, roll-up windows with an easy folding soft top. 

-This car offered for sale here was recently acquired from Missouri from the estate of only it’s second owner and shows a mere 55,705 original miles. It has been stored indoors it’s entire life and has been in static storage since 1992, for the past 33 years. It’s an excellent, low mileage original car with a single repaint, with the superb bodywork retaining all of it’s original sheetmetal and showing no signs of rust or accident damage.

-Exterior cosmetics on the car are excellent. Paintwork is very, very good throughout, save for a few small blemishes. Panel gapping is super. Chromework is all factory original and is well preserved along with an excellent original Triplex windshield glass. Bumper bars and overriders are very good- thick originals.

-Interior trim is truly excellent and amazingly original, including the front and rear Ambla seats in original material, front and rear 1/4 panels, door panels, dash wood and dash top pad, carpets replaced. 

-Mechanically, the car is superb out on the road, and drives strong and smooth, like well-taken-care-of original low mileage examples perform. DRIVING VIDEO COMING SOON.

-Kurt Tanner Motorcars recently completed the following work in June, 2025:

 Detailed existing paintwork and brightwork with a buffing, polishing and waxing. 

 Power washing of engine compartment and underside. 

 Detailing and painting of engine, engine compartment, undercarriage, suspension, steering gear, exhaust system in high heat black (concours).

 New Everflex soft top fitted in Navy blue with new webbing, side seals, header seal. Recovered door armbars.

 New Navy Blue door seals fitted, corner seals, new 2-point lap belts fitted in black.

 Detailed trunk compartment with leather tire strap. Includes it’s original top boot and tonneau cover in bags, rare original battery cover, jack, owner’s manual.

 New, correct, complete mild steel exhaust system, new hanger kits.

 New upper and lower radiator hoses, fan belt, restored original air cleaner set, fuel flexys, newly rebuilt front shock absorbers.

 Previous work completed in 2024 includes complete braking system overhaul with servo, clutch hydraulics, battery, fuel pump, fuel tank, new Nexen radial tires fitted   to  high quality American-made Dayton chrome wire wheel set (4).
